Wine review: Tezza Corte Majoli 2011 Valpolicella DOC

Imported by on of my favorite importers to look for; Haw River Wine Man, Inc, out of Burlington, North Carolina, the Tezza Corte Majoli 2011 Valpolicella is a beautiful wine.

Made from a blend of Corvina (mostly), Corvinone and Rondinella grapes,
The Tezza Corte Majoli 2011 Valpolicella is a lovely fruit forward wine with balance and structure. In the glass, the wine is an intense ruby color.  On the nose tons of black cherry, cocoa and spice aromas. On the palate, a dry red wine with a flavour profile of dark cherry fruit, notes of licorice, earth and spice. Easy drinking soft tannins, a full mouth-feel and pleasing finish complete the wine.

The Tezza Corte Majoli 2011 Valpolicella is a most suitable wine for casual Italian cuisine, pizza, pasta, etc; plus hamburgers, BBQ and grilled meat or poultry.
