Grilled filet mignon and a standout Central Valley California Cabernet
Recently I had the opportunity to sample a new release from the Michael David Winery. The winery, located in Lodi California, is known for individuality and creativity, not only when it comes to crafting their wines, but also creating excitement around the brand. One glass of this standout California Cabernet and a quick look at the bottle’s label, and you too will be introduced to the Michael David Winery experience.
Their new release, the 2009 “Freakshow” Cabernet Sauvignon is a well-structured wine, aged in French Oak for 22 months and blended with a very small amount of Petite Sirah. The wine, although big and bold at 14.5% ALC, is wonderfully balanced and food friendly.
Dark cherry, blackberry and spice aromas on the nose, leads to a full-bodied mouth-feel of dark berry fruit, vanilla, spice, and a judicious amount of charred oak on the palate. Approachable tannins and a long finish complete the wine.
The 2009 Freakshow Cabernet is an excellent choice for BBQ and grilled meat pairings. With the grilling season upon us, this is one California Cabernet to have on hand!

I have been browsing on-line more than 3 hours as of late, but I never found any interesting article like yours. It’s lovely price enough for me. In my opinion, if all web owners and bloggers made good content material as you probably did, the net will probably be a lot more useful than ever before.
